The house for the demonstration site in Austria has been approved by the European Commission. The house is located in Kapfenberg, a town some 40 km north of Graz, the capital of Styria. The current oil-based heating system will be replaced by the innovative TESSe2b – system, using a ground sourced heat pump, solar collectors, PCM-based heat and cool storage and a smart control algorithm. So instead of some 4.000 litres of oil per year only green energy will be used to climate the house.

TESSe2b project has received funding from the European Union’s Horizon 2020 Research and Innovation Programme, under the Grant Agreement number 680555.
